Corporate Strategy & Investments Director

Corporate Strategy and Investments Director is a senior member of MT team and report to the CEO. This position has the priority to support the CEO in developing informed positions on critical (and possibly ambiguous) questions that matter most to sustainable value creation and enhanced capability across people, product, technology, customer and financials.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Assist to develop, refine and track progress of the Company’s overall strategies in line with shareholder value creation
• Build thought leadership on the future state of the Company
• Track and share insights on competitors’ developments and operational/financial performance
• Lead review and execution of all M&A related activities (acquisitions, equity investments, JVs, strategic alliances, divestitures etc)
• Oversee and monitor all investments
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with CXOs of various business units and functions/products for strategic initiatives, not limited to M&A
• Develop a relationship with external stakeholders (inter alia consultants, financial advisors, regulators, press etc)
• Track monthly Dash Board of all business units and investments
• Project lead or participation in critical ad hoc projects
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high performing team

• A minimum of [10] years investment banking, strategy consulting or private equity/venture capital experience
• Gaming, Fintech and Technology industry experience is viewed favourably
• Fluent in written and spoken English; other languages like Chinese and Vietnamese an added advantage
• High standards of professionalism and integrity
• Proactive, self-starter and possess business and commercial acumen
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
• Collaborative approach to problem solving and an ability to derive creative, innovative solutions for complex matters
• Ability to establish, develop and build relationships, and influence stakeholders in collaborative, pragmatic and people-focused manner, both internally and externally
• Ability to make a risk assessment and to handle challenging situations or high levels of ambiguity well, within a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment.
