As a part of growing our international team, VNG cares to include culturally beautiful diversity as much as possible. Particularly, VNGGames have been celebrating the Songkran festival for our team based in Bangkok city for years, which is gradually regarded as a shared happiness among us.

 

 

Songkran (Thai: เทศกาลสงกรานต์) - Thailand’s most famous festival - is held annually from 13 to 15 April. This fascinating water festival marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year on the Buddhist calendar. As water is a symbol of cleansing and blessing in Buddhism, people splash water on statues and each other to show respect and wish for good fortune.

This week, we had a fun time ‘splashing’ and celebrating the Songkran Festival at the VNGGames Bangkok office. From dedicated office decorations and water-splashing activities to many delightful gifts, including cash vouchers, icing cookies, and designed thank-you cards. Starters had an amazing experience together before traveling home and gathering with their family during this holiday.

 

 

Last January, our Thai employees also took part in the online get-together to celebrate the company's year-end season (known as VNG Reply 2022) along with all other offices despite the international distance. In fact, the event reached almost all Starters, no matter where they were located: Taipei, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Manila... These engaging events are parts of VNG's efforts to integrate "life at VNG" from all operating offices and individuals onto the same page.
