VNG GIVES 4000 COMPUTERS TO STUDENTS IN 3 WEST PROVINCE

On January 13 and 14, 2022, the representative of VNG Joint Stock Company (VNG) officially presented 1,000 laptops and 2,914 tablets to disadvantaged students in 3 provinces of **Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and An Giang.** The computer donation ceremony in three western provinces is part of the program "Waves and computers for children" launched by the Prime Minister in September 2021. Accordingly, nearly 4,000 laptops and tablets will be delivered to students from poor and near-poor households right this January. Specifically, the representative of VNG handed over 713 machines in Ca Mau, 1,163 machines in Bac Lieu and 2,038 machines in An Giang. Each laptop is worth more than 7 million VND, each tablet is worth more than 3 million VND, the total equipment value is about 12 billion VND. VNG's support contributes to helping children have quality learning equipment and at the same time sharing the burden for disadvantaged families in a tumultuous year. Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Mr. Tran Tuan Khanh, deputy director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, said that according to statistics from the beginning of the school year, in the province, there are 77,719 students without online learning devices. line. From the program "Waves and computers for children" launched by the Government, the Provincial Department of Education has coordinated and campaigned in the province, with support from businesses, including VNG, to this point. , the number of students lacking learning equipment decreased to 39,918 students. Along with Mr. Khanh, representatives of the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu emphasized that online teaching and learning activities in the province are still facing many difficulties and are continuing to campaign, looking forward to receiving more support from Ministries, localities and businesses, at the same time reminding students to use this meaningful gift effectively and for the right purpose. Representing many students who received support, Thanh Nha, a 12th grader at Ho Thi Ky High School, Ca Mau province shared: “During the first semester of the school year 2021-2022, online learning is by electricity. Phone calls made me face many obstacles, my study results as well as the acquisition of knowledge were limited. Therefore, when I received the news that I was given a computer, I and my family were very happy and moved.
