The Risk Management Team at Zalopay brings together highly motivated professionals who excel in risk assessment, fraud analysis, and abuse pattern detection. Our team is dedicated to developing and refining advanced prevention mechanisms prioritizing an exceptional user experience.

As a Risk Strategist at Zalopay, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Immerse yourself in the dynamic Fintech industry with Zalopay, a leading contender in Vietnam's e-payment sector.
  • Expand your expertise in Risk Management within the Fintech and E-commerce industries.
  • Collaborate with experts and gain deep insights into market trends, user behavior, and other critical components of the Fintech landscape, including business intelligence, data analysis, technology, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk assessments for new product features prior to launch; Analyze and monitor transaction processing, system operations, and customer transactions to identify and address potential risks.
  • Track and evaluate statistics related to redemption, authentication, and approval processes.
  • Analyze differences between normal users and fraudsters/abusers, proposing updates to rules and models to improve risk engine performance—enhancing coverage rates, reducing loss rates, and minimizing false positives with minimal impact on legitimate users.
  • Collaborate closely with Business & Product teams to communicate risk metrics and refine product mechanics, ensuring seamless integration of risk management practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers within the Risk Management Team to deploy rules, and models on the Risk Engine, balancing risk mitigation with user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Service team to address and resolve complaints, providing insights into risk-related issues.

Requirement

Must-Have
  • Strong Logical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to swiftly identify root causes, evaluate potential losses, and assess the impact on user experience, ensuring effective decision-making.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Capable of delivering persuasive opinions and defining clear rules while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines with efficiency.
  • Proficient English Skills: Above-average English proficiency, equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher.
  • Proficient Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Open-Minded & Eager to Learn: Enthusiastic about embracing new challenges with a continuous learning mindset.
Nice-to-Have
  • Industry Experience: 1+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL/ Python is a strong plus.
