Job description
We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to build and scale the Game Promotion Engine — a self-service platform that enables Game Studios to create, configure, launch, and measure gamified promotion campaigns with minimal engineering dependency.
You will work closely with Game Studios, Engineering, Data, SDK, Analytics, and other platform teams to turn promotion use cases into reusable mechanics, gameplay modules, templates, rules, and campaign capabilities.
This role requires strong platform thinking: not just delivering individual campaigns, but building a flexible system that can support many games, promotion types, and business objectives at scale.
What You Will Do:
1. Product Strategy & Ownership
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution of the Promotion Engine.
- Translate Game Studio promotion needs into scalable product capabilities.
- Prioritise between immediate campaign requirements and long-term platform development.
- Identify recurring use cases and turn them into reusable mechanics, gameplay modules, and templates.
2. Build the Self-Service Campaign Builder
- Design and improve the end-to-end campaign creation journey
- Build configurable and reusable promotion capabilities that reduce custom development and manual support.
- Ensure the platform can support different game genres, technical setups, and campaign scenarios.
3. Product Discovery & Delivery
- Work directly with Game Studios to understand campaign objectives, workflows, pain points, and technical constraints.
- Define user journeys, business rules, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
- Partner closely with engineers on campaign configuration, rule engines, APIs, SDK integration, event tracking, and data requirements.
- Use prototypes, campaign results, user feedback, and operational insights to continuously improve the product.
4. Adoption & Product Performance
- Drive onboarding and adoption of the Promotion Engine across Game Studios.
- Identify friction that prevents users from creating and operating campaigns independently.
- Define tracking, reporting, and product metrics for campaign creation and usage.
- Improve campaign setup speed, usability, reusability, and operational efficiency.
Requirement
- You play games, a lot of them. This role requires gaming knowledge, so please only apply if you have it.
- Technical background
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management - or if you believe you’re strong enough without these years.
- Experience with mechanics such as missions, rewards, leaderboards, gacha, accumulation, referral, or progression systems.
- Experience building B2B platforms, SaaS, internal tools, campaign builders, loyalty, promotion, workflow builders, or no-code / low-code products.
- Strong ability to turn one-off business requests into reusable product capabilities.
- Strong understanding of workflows, rules, configuration systems, and complex business logic.
- Comfortable working with APIs, SDKs, event tracking, data models, and system integrations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to define product metrics and tracking requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, product, engineering, and data teams.
- Able to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive products from discovery through adoption.
- SQL or equivalent data analysis capability.
- Experience using AI tools for product discovery, prototyping, analysis, and specification.
