Job description

The Business Analyst will act as a strategic partner to the Game Publishing Department Head, analyzing operational performance across products, revenue, staffing, and processes. This role requires a highly analytical, independent thinker who can proactively identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and communicate insights effectively. The ideal candidate is a self-driven problem-solver who thrives under pressure, communicates with agility, and owns outcomes without constant guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:

Analyze game performance (revenue, user engagement, retention) and operational metrics (staff productivity, costs, workflows).
Build intuitive dashboards and reports to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for the Department Head.

2. Operational Optimization:

Proactively identify bottlenecks in publishing processes (e.g., product launches, resource allocation, cross-team collaboration).
Develop data-backed solutions and model scenarios to forecast impact, prioritizing initiatives that align with business goals.

3. Stakeholder Influence & Execution:

Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Finance) to translate insights into action.
Communicate complex findings clearly to diverse stakeholders, balancing urgency with precision in high-pressure situations.

Requirement

Experience in business analysis, operations, or strategy roles (gaming/tech industry preferred).
Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI); game analytics platforms (e.g., AppAnnie) a plus.
Independent problem-solving: Ability to tackle ambiguous challenges without predefined direction.
