Job description
- QA Tester is responsible for ensuring that all game features function correctly as designed, are free from bugs and crashes, and delivering a quality report at the end of each sprint.
- Perform testing on game features, gameplay, and user interface.
- Ensure all systems operate according to the Game Design Document (GDD) and comply with defined acceptance criteria.
- Write clear and well-structured bug reports. Identify, log, and track bugs throughout all development phases.
- Support the Product Owner (PO) and Development team in validating outputs, system stability, and a smooth player experience.
1. Test Planning
- Collaborate with the PO to build test plans and testing checklists for each build.
- Design detailed test cases for each system/module.
- Perform hands-on gameplay testing and manual testing activities.
- Identify issues related to logic, UI, maps, scripts, and security.
- Proactively conduct exploratory testing to uncover issues not covered by existing test cases.
- Propose additional test cases for newly identified scenarios.
- Write clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports.
- Record and manage bugs following the defined workflow (ID, description, severity, fix status).
- Maintain comprehensive bug logs within the team’s workspace.
- Retest resolved issues after fixes are delivered by Developers.
- Perform full system verification before key build milestones (Day 15 / 30 / 45).
- Confirm 100% test case pass rate, build stability for ≥ 72 hours, and no critical issues prior to release.
- Consolidate testing results, including test case pass/fail rates and bug fix rates.
- Propose recommendations to improve product quality.
- Provide regular reports (weekly / per sprint) to the PO and relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Development team and PO to ensure overall game quality.
Requirement
- 18 years old or above.
- Actively plays Roblox games and has basic knowledge of Roblox Studio.
- Detail-oriented with strong observation and bug detection skills.
- Able to write clear, logical, and easy-to-understand bug reports.
- Familiar with checking console outputs and basic logs.
- High sense of responsibility with the ability to work independently.
- Strong logical thinking and a proactive learning mindset.
- Able to communicate and read in both Vietnamese and English; comfortable working directly with the Product Owner (PO) and Development team.
