Key accountabilities:
  • Act as the Compliance Officer for Singapore office.
  • Act as the contact person with MAS and to ensure regulatory reports are filed on time.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture across the organization and promote risk awareness among all employees.
Key Deliverables:

  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Singapore business’s compliance framework, including its compliance policies and AML/CFT policies and procedures.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of compliance systems, processes and controls.
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of monthly compliance report, regulatory return and other compliance reporting requirements.
  • Provide practical compliance advice to the business, including interpreting and explaining applicable regulatory requirements..
  • Lead the process of conducting ML/TF Risk Assessment for SG business. Assess inherent risks, control efficacy, residual risk and recommend appropriate mitigation actions to manage the risk.
  • Lead the ML/TF risk assessment process for the Singapore business, including assessing inherent risks, control effectiveness and residual risks, and recommending appropriate risk-mitigation measures.
  • Ensure Group policies and procedures are consistently implemented and appropriately aligned with Singapore regulatory requirements.
  • Lead investigations into potentially suspicious activities and submit suspicious transaction reports to the relevant authorities, where required.
  • Conduct regular compliance monitoring and controls testing, assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and recommend enhancements or remediation where necessary.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor the annual compliance plan for the Singapore entity, ensuring the timely completion of planned activities, remediation actions and follow-up items.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective, up to date and compliant with applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidance.
  • Maintain and oversee key compliance registers, including those relating to gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, regulatory breaches, incidents and complaints.

Yêu cầu

  • Strong knowledge of, and practical experience with, Singapore’s regulatory requirements.
  • Sound understanding of the Singapore regulatory environment and recognised compliance best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and managing MAS reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working for a Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence holder and/or Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence holder is highly regarded.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore’s AML/CFT regime, including customer due diligence and KYC, transaction monitoring, suspicious transaction reporting, sanctions risk management, and anti-bribery and corruption controls.
  • Knowledge of international compliance standards and global regulatory practices is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A positive and collaborative approach, with the ability to communicate effectively and work constructively across the organisation.
  • A relevant university degree and professional qualification or certification in compliance, AML/CFT or a related discipline.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
