About the Role

GreenNode is looking for a Legal Lead who combines deep legal knowledge with the operational mindset to actually implement it. This is not a purely advisory role — we need someone who can translate legal requirements into concrete policies, processes, and contractual frameworks that work in a real, fast-moving B2B technology business.

You will be the primary legal partner to senior leadership: someone who understands the law well enough to counsel the Board, and is hands-on enough to build the operational infrastructure

Short-term
  • Own all legal matters within GreenNode's scope, including brand protection, intellectual property, and emerging areas such as AI and data law (AI regulations, data governance frameworks, etc.).
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the Board and senior leadership on all legal matters arising in day-to-day business operations — including Cloud sovereignty, and legal compliance in B2B contracts.
  • Research and track newly enacted or upcoming regulations relevant to GreenNode, especially ISO 27001, ISO 40001, and related GRC frameworks; provide legal support to the GRC team on compliance matters.
  • Review, draft, and approve legal provisions in contracts, MOUs, SLAs, and other legal documents; ensure all commercial agreements are legally sound and aligned with GreenNode's interests.
  • Research and propose a clear scope delineation between GreenNode Legal and Corp Legal — modeled after the current relationship between ISO Corp and GreenNode's GRC/Security team.
Long-term
  • Take full, independent ownership of all Legal responsibilities for GreenNode.
  • Build and manage an internal legal structure appropriate for the company's scale and strategic direction.
AI Competency
  • GreenNode expects all team members to actively apply AI in their day-to-day work. The Legal Lead is expected to:
  • Apply AI tools to improve the speed and quality of legal work — including contract drafting and review, regulatory research, compliance tracking, and building reusable legal templates.
  • Advise the business on AI-related legal risk — including AI regulations, data rights, model governance, and AI-specific clauses in commercial contracts.

Yêu cầu

Must-have
  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience in a B2B environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law;
  • Solid understanding of technology service contracts, SaaS, Cloud infrastructure, or digital services agreements.
  • Ability to work independently, conduct self-directed research, and make sound decisions within the scope of legal expertise.
  • Strong English proficiency — able to read, draft, and negotiate legal documents in English.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience with AI regulations, data protection laws, or information security frameworks (ISO 27001, PDPD, GDPR, etc.).
  • Background in a technology company, Cloud infrastructure provider, or high-growth startup.
  • Familiarity with GRC frameworks and cross-entity legal coordination within a corporate group.
