System Intern (Devops & AI Operation), GreenNode

As a System Engineering Intern, you will work at the core infrastructure that powers our cloud platform—the compute, storage, and networking systems behind every virtual machine and service our customers use.

This role is designed as a shared talent pool. You will join the team responsible for building, operating, and scaling cloud infrastructure, and during the interview process, we will match you to the most suitable team based on your strengths and interests.

What You Will Do
Cloud & Platform Operations

• Assist in deploying, operating, and scaling our OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure.
• Work with core services such as Compute, Networking, and Storage to ensure reliable VM provisioning.
• Troubleshoot virtual machine, networking, and storage issues in production environments.
• Support and operate cloud platform services including Kubernetes, networking, load balancing, and infrastructure components that power modern cloud-native and AI workloads..
• Participate in on-call rotations and learn how to handle real incidents at scale.

Automation & Reliability

• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, and Ansible, following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Work with SRE and Infrastructure teams to monitor system health and improve availability, performance, and reliability.
• Help ensure that infrastructure services respond correctly and efficiently when customers provision resources.
• Systems, Hardware & Data Center Exposure
• Work at the intersection of hardware and software, supporting Linux servers, hypervisors, and physical infrastructure.
• Assist with server deployment, hardware installation, and infrastructure expansion across multiple sites.
• Learn how a cloud provider manages and optimizes physical resource pools from the inside out.
• Gain exposure to modern cloud technologies including Kubernetes-based AI/ML platforms, GPU infrastructure, and large-scale distributed systems.

Operations & Documentation

• Support and maintain system documentation, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Assist in configuring and operating core infrastructure services such as DNS, NTP, logging, and monitoring.
• Learn OS hardening and system tuning for performance and security.
