STT GDC recently entered into a strategic partnership with VNG to develop a new data centre operating platform in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The partnership marks the continuing expansion of STT GDC’s data centre footprint globally, particularly in Asia.

About Role:

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving new business and expanding the company’s data centre services, targeting international clients from the US, Europe, APAC regions, as well as local FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) enterprises. This role focuses on hunting new customers, requiring persistence and a long-term view, as data centre projects often involve complex decision-making processes and longer sales cycles. The successful candidate will use both direct and indirect sales strategies (via telecom and referral partners) to build a strong pipeline and convert prospects into customers.

The Senior Account Manager should also be prepared for frequent business travel, particularly within the APAC region, to engage with potential clients and partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Direct Sales:

- Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on securing new customers, aligning with company goals.
- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with international customers and local FDI enterprises.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy and timely submission of proposals and solutions to customers.
- Focus on outbound prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development through direct outreach, networking, and leveraging partnerships.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects, focusing on long-term relationship building and trust with potential clients.
- Provide regular sales activity and pipeline reports to the Sales Director.

2. Indirect Sales:
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the target regions.
- Develop, collaborate partner sales strategies with telecom operators, resellers & referral partners to drive business opportunities that align with company goals.
- Ensure partners are fully equipped with the necessary tools, information, and support to sell the company’s data centre services.
- Provide administrative and operational support including data entry, lead qualification, and appointment scheduling.
- Assist with the onboarding of new customers, ensuring a smooth handover to the operations and technical teams.
- Maintain relationships with clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future upselling or cross-selling.
- Other tasks are assigned by Sales Director.

Yêu cầu

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within the data centre, IT, or cloud services industry.
• Proven experience in hunting and acquiring new customers, particularly in international markets (US, Europe, APAC) and among local FDI enterprises.
• Track record of managing long-term, complex sales cycles.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal & written in English), proficiency in Chinese is a significant advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and decision-makers within long sales cycles.
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
• Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and persistent in achieving sales targets.
• Patience and resilience in pursuing long-term sales goals and building relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects over extended periods.
• Willingness to travel frequently, especially within the APAC region, for business development and client engagement.
