As a Big Data Platform in Zalopay, we are developing a high quality data warehouse that can address business problems, provide data insight to each business aspect, transform product to Data-driven decision making manner. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team with a dedicated focus on data quality, observability, and governance. In this role, you will design and build core infrastructure and frameworks to ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, discoverable, and compliant. Your work will directly impact the trustworthiness and usability of data across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement systems and frameworks to automate data quality checks, including profiling, validation, anomaly detection, and lineage tracking.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, SLAs, and best practices across the data lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain data governance infrastructure, including metadata management, schema versioning, data cataloging, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and compliance teams to define and support data policies and compliance requirements (e.g., data retention, masking, auditing).
  • Integrate or extend open-source tools (e.g., Apache Atlas, Great Expectations, DataHub, etc.) into the platform.
  • Work with pipeline owners to ensure data observability and transparency across ingestion, transformation, and serving layers.
  • Lead efforts to document and communicate data governance strategies to stakeholders and promote a data-driven culture.

Yêu cầu

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working with large-scale data systems.
  • Proven hands-on experience in building or maintaining data quality frameworks and governance systems.
  • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, including data validation, profiling, anomaly detection, and rule-based checks.
  • Experience implementing or integrating tools for metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage tracking.
  • Solid experience in the Hadoop ecosystem (e.g., HDFS, Hive, Spark, YARN).
  • Have experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Elastic search.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, Scala.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud computing platforms and concepts is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving skills, and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and business teams.
