3D Animator

Mô tả công việc
- Create simple animation loops (idle, walk, turn) using timeline and keyframes. Understand basic animation curves (translation, rotation). Clean up mocap data with supervision.
- Animate interactive gameplay actions (run, jump, combat, emotes) with clean pacing and readable silhouettes.
- Define animation style and maintain consistency across characters or creatures. Build animation libraries and naming standards for reusability. Animate complex systems like mount, flight, or multi-part entities (e.g., boss setups).
- Oversee animation pipelines, tools, naming conventions, and integration practices.
- Create custom rig setups for characters, creatures, or mechanical assets. Design switchable IK/FK systems and animator-friendly controls. Handle deformation challenges (elbows, shoulders, joints) with helper joints and correction rigs. Troubleshoot rig-related issues in animation feedback loop.
- Set up complex rigs (multi-limbs, facial systems, physics constraints).
- Collaborate with Tech Animator to build scalable rigging pipelines and automation tools (Python/MEL).
- Ensure rigs are engine-ready with proper LODs, skeleton exports, and compatibility with retargeting/mocap.
- Define and oversee rigging strategy aligned with animation and gameplay needs.
- Utilize AI tools to speed up modeling, retopology, and texture generation (e.g., AI UV unwrap, Smart Materials, Generative Textures).
- Defines the visual style and quality standards for 3D assets across all titles. Aligns with Creative and Product leadership to shape the game's artistic identity.
Yêu cầu
- Strong understanding of 3D art fundamentals (modeling, texturing, lighting, etc.)
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer)
- Experience creating 3D assets for games, including characters, environments, and props
- Familiarity with game development pipelines and workflows Ability to adapt to different art styles and project requirements
- Strong communication & collaboration/ownership/commitment skills
