Technical Artist – lead the integration of art and engineering in next-gen and AAA game projects. While you will support both Unreal Engine and Unity pipelines, your primary focus will be on Unreal, where you'll develop robust art pipelines, tools, shaders, and AI-assisted workflows to ensure visual fidelity, runtime performance, and production efficiency across platforms.

Job Description:
1. Art Pipeline & Tooling
  • Build and maintain scalable art pipelines for modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and VFX.
  • Create custom tools/scripts (Python, C#, Blueprint, MEL) to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Document technical standards, develop onboarding materials, and host training sessions.

2. Engine Integration
  • Participate in early-stage setup, kick-offs, and documentation with stakeholders.
  • Integrate art assets efficiently into Unreal/Unity, ensuring engine compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and production to troubleshoot technical issues.

3. VFX & Shader Development
  • Lead and optimize VFX pipelines across platforms (mobile/console/PC).
  • Build modular, reusable VFX systems; write shaders with performance in mind.
  • Mentor team members in shader/VFX best practices.

4. AI-Assisted Workflow
  • Integrate AI tools (e.g. upscaling, auto UV, remeshing) into production pipelines.
  • Collaborate with ML/TechArt teams to develop and customize AI-enhanced tools.
  • Research and pilot emerging AI solutions to improve asset creation efficiency.

5. Performance Optimization
  • Profile scenes and optimize draw calls, memory usage, and LODs.
  • Use tools like Unreal Insights, RenderDoc, PIX for debugging performance.

6. Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as the main technical point of contact between art and client/engineering teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Design, Animation, QA, etc.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of artistic vision and propose alternatives when needed.

Yêu cầu

Must-have:
  • 5+ years of experience in game development or 3D production.
  • Solid experience with Maya, Blender, Substance tools, and digital content pipelines.
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python/C#/Blueprint) or shader language (HLSL/GLSL).
  • Strong understanding of PBR, lighting, and rendering workflows.
  • Experience integrating assets into Unreal or Unity.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Independent and proactive problem solver.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce).
  • Familiarity with Houdini or procedural generation tools.
  • Background in VFX or rigging.
  • Experience working on multi-platform projects (mobile, console, VR/AR).
  • Interest in R&D, AI integration, or tool design.
