Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Lending), Zalopay

The Business Intelligence Analyst for the Lending Team plays a critical role in delivering strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance growth and performance of lending products. This role involves independently extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets, proactively identifying business opportunities, risks, and clearly communicating actionable insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Extraction and Analysis

• Independently query complex databases to extract relevant data.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data extracted.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated reports tracking key Lending metrics.

2. Business Insight Generation

• Proactively analyze data trends to identify actionable insights and strategic opportunities drivers that accelerate product growth and performance.
• Formulate and validate hypotheses based on complex business problems/questions.
• Provide clear, concise insights with recommended strategic actions.
• Identify unusual trends or anomalies and thoroughly investigate potential root causes.
• Examples of expected analyses are:

o   Deep-dive analysis into user acquisition, churn, retention, and risk metrics.

o   Investigate performance against key business targets such as Disbursement, Monthly Paying Users (MPU), focusing on drivers of acquisition, retention, engagement, and specific product use cases.

o   Analyze and explain variations in business, marketing, product and risk metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or equivalent role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python and strong experience with PowerPoint, BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Demonstrated expertise in independently deriving strategic insights from complex datasets.
• Extensive experience analyzing sales/marketing metrics (churn, retention, MPU) and/or risk metrics (default rates, scoring analysis).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex data insights.
• Strong experience working effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in digital lending, financial services, fintech, or related sectors.
