About the Role
As a Product Owner for Promotions, you will be at the heart of how VNG Games designs, operates, and continuously improves its promotional campaigns across all game titles. You will bridge the gap between business needs, game studio requirements, and engineering delivery — ensuring every promotion is configured correctly, measured thoroughly, and optimized for impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promotion Operations & Project Management:
  • Own and maintain the team's Jira board and Nexus documentation, ensuring all promotion tasks are tracked, prioritized, and completed on schedule.
  • Oversee end-to-end promotion setup — from configuration and QA to launch and post-launch monitoring — guaranteeing every campaign runs correctly according to its specifications.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (engineering, QA, Game Studio) to resolve blockers and keep promotion delivery on track.
  • Maintain a clear and up-to-date backlog of promotion-related work, balancing operational requests with strategic development tasks.
2. Product Ownership & Feature Development:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Promotion Platform team and Game Studios, proactively gathering their needs and pain points.
  • Define and document new promotion feature requirements through user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage the full feature lifecycle — from discovery and prioritization to development oversight and UAT sign-off.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of promotion platform capabilities.
  • Continuously refine the product backlog based on changing business priorities, studio feedback, and performance data.
3. Performance Reporting & Data Analysis:
  • Design and produce regular performance reports for live promotion programs, covering key metrics such as participation rate, conversion, revenue impact, and player retention.
  • Analyze campaign results to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities, translating findings into clear recommendations.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for each promotion type, establishing a measurement framework that enables data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with data team to improve dashboards and reporting tooling, ensuring timely access to actionable insights.

Yêu cầu

  • At least 2 years of experience in product owner, product management, or a related role — ideally in gaming, e-commerce, or a platform environment.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira; familiarity with documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence/Notion) is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of agile / scrum methodology and the full product development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with engineering teams — writing clear specs, managing a backlog, and driving sprint execution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to measure and improve product performance; proficiency with SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the gaming industry or with promotion/campaign management systems is a significant advantage.
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate day-to-day work; ability to vibe-code quick prototypes or mockups to validate ideas before committing to full development is a strong plus.
